Can you believe it?! I’m BACK!! Your eyes are not deceiving you, it is actually a NEW episode of Brick Wit House! I’m going to keep the episodes down to around 30 minutes for the time being until I get back into the swing of things and try to refine my skills as a solo producer. In the meantime, give a listen and find out where I’ve been and what I’ve been up to. In addition to that news, my old friend from way back joined me on the show to tell us how he ended up on the local news a couple of months ago. It’s not something he would want to do again but let’s just say, it’s lucky he was able to join me in the new studio for the show.
In other news, something that I tried over and over again to accomplish since we first started the show was to get Brick Wit House on Spotify. Well kids, I DID IT!! So you can now subscribe to the show on Spotify and enjoy it in the comfort of one of my favorite apps!
As would be expected with Brick Wit House, I did fuck something up. My intent was to record video for every episode to put up on YouTube, and I had everything set up, lights were on, camera was perfectly placed and everything was ready to go . . . except I forgot to push the record button, so even though I tell you in the show that this episode will be on YouTube, it won’t, because great big fucking DUH!
As for my buddy, Eric (the other Eric, I don’t give a shit what he says), he made the news a couple months ago because THIS fucking guy . . .
. . . stabbed him and damn near killed him! Obviously from the picture, he’s been caught and will likely spend many, many years in prison.
I’ll let you hear the story from him on the show.
The picture below is the Emergency Room floor where Eric was tackled by his co-workers and the fight to save his life began. The image is blurred for those of you that may be sensitive to blood, but if you click on it, you can see it without the blur.
Read one of the many news reports about the incident on this link from WRAL Channel 5 in Raleigh, or just type “smithfield nurse stabbed” into Google and you’ll get a shit-ton of news reports about it.
The happy ending to the story is, Eric is ok now and was able to be my first house guest at the new apartment that wasn’t a family member and the very first guest in the New and Improved Brick Wit House Recording Studio and Bait Shop that has it’s very own room! Glad he’s going to be sticking around for a while and hope to have him on as a guest in the future.
Even though I said I would do the donations bit in the middle of the show, I decided not to do it since I’ve been gone so long. If you still want to, I’ll leave the links below as I always did before, but for now I’m just glad to be back and doing the show again. There are a lot of things I “meant to mention” during the show, so this week I’ll write them all down and get them organized into something I can present to everyone next week. I’m thinking I’ll just do a solo show next week and get everything and everybody all caught up.
Stay tuned to the YouTube Channel in the next couple of days and I’ll have the tour of the new place up.
Thanks for sticking around, ya’ll!! So glad to be back!
In the meantime, enjoy the show and if you can, help me to support the show in one of the following ways:
One time donation via PayPal at my email address firstname.lastname@example.org
Donate through Venmo, first name Brick, last name Withouse.
Finally, become a patron of the show by donating monthly at www.patreon.com/brickwithouse. I will let everyone know once that premium content goes live, but don’t be afraid to get in on it early!
Please don’t forget to take just a couple of minutes and leave me a 5-star rating on iTunes and any other platforms you listen to me on. It will mean a lot for the future of the show!
